During the first battle round, your army (and every unit from it) is engaged in Wanton Destruction. This unit gains a bonus (see below) depending on which wanton act it is engaged in, as follows:.a model shooting with a flamer makes D6+2 attacks). Each time a model in this unit shoots with a flame weapon, when determining how many attacks are made with that weapon this phase, add 2 to the result (e.g.Unencumbered by stultifying doctrines, they are capable of adapting their murderous priorities with horrifying ease, and there are no limits to the levels of devastation they will unleash to vent their anger. If every unit from your army has the TRAITORIS ASTARTES keyword (excluding models with the AGENT OF CHAOS or UNALIGNED keyword) and every unit from your army (excluding ABADDON THE DESPOILER) is from the same Legion, this unit gains the following rules: Whether annihilating the foe at range or butchering them without mercy at close quarters, there is no aspect of death unknown to these traitors. If that unit has the CHAOS UNDIVIDED keyword, it loses that keyword even if it is not given a Mark of Khorne.ĭrawing upon countless years of festering bitterness and hate, Chaos Space Marines attack with a ferocity that is terrible to behold. That unit gains the BUTCHER ASTARTES and KHORNE keywords.Replace that unit’s keyword with WORLD EATERS.You can choose for any unit (excluding NURGLE, SLAANESH and TZEENTCH units) from the Imperial Armour Compendium to be from the World Eaters Legion. That unit loses the ‘ Let the Galaxy Burn’ ability. That unit can be from one of the seven Plague Companies, and so also gains the keywords. That unit gains the BUBONIC ASTARTES and NURGLE keywords.Replace that unit’s keyword with DEATH GUARD.You can choose for any unit (excluding KHORNE, SLAANESH and TZEENTCH units) from the Imperial Armour Compendium to be from the Death Guard Legion. Example: If you include a Chaos Lord in your army, and you decide they are from the Night Lords Legion, their keyword becomes NIGHT LORDS and their Lord of Chaos ability reads ‘While a friendly NIGHT LORDS CORE unit is within 6" of this model, each time a model in that unit makes an attack, re-roll a hit roll of 1.’ If your army is Battle-forged, you cannot include units from two different Legions in the same Detachment.Ĭhaos Space Marine DatasheetsMany Chaos Space Marines units described in this section can be fielded in Death Guard, Thousand Sons or World Eaters armies even though you cannot normally replace the keyword with either DEATH GUARD, THOUSAND SONS or WORLD EATERS. This could be one of the Legions detailed in a Warhammer 40,000 publication, or one of your own design. When you include a unit with the keyword in your army, you must nominate which Legion it is from and then replace the keyword in every instance on its datasheet with the name of your chosen Legion. All TRAITORIS ASTARTES units are drawn from one of the Legions. This is a keyword that you can select for yourself, as described in the Warhammer 40,000 Core Book, with the guidance detailed below. Many datasheets in this codex have the keyword. Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress – Escalation Kill Team: Annual 2022 – Gellerpox Datasheets That's what I'd go with, anyway.Kill Team: Moroch – Traitor Guardsman Squad There's obviously a ton more, but it seems pretty clear to me that items that are "- (held)" generally continue to function after they are activated unless they explicitly say they don't (like the Banner of Storm's Eye). Blast Disk is clearly activated while held and then set down someplace, and still functions.Banner of Storm's Eye explicitly says "as long as it is held aloft.".Aberrant Sphere shatters when you activate it and re-forms when its duration expires. There's also the relic Staff of the Unyielding Oak where the staff changes into a Treant - clearly you are no longer holding it. Lots of weapons - would it make sense for the magical weapon's ability to stop functioning if you drop the weapon or are disarmed? I don't think so.But so then I looked at a bunch of items in MIC that are "- (Held)" to see what makes sense: If you had a ring or a cloak that required activation, it seems unlikely to me that the effect would continue after the item was removed from the body part. It wasn't really clear to me what your question was, and it seemed as though you might have missed the bit on the page before your quote.īut hmm.
